KEYS

Visualisation
Keys became metaphors in life and art a long time ago- “keys to mysteries of the creation of the world,” or ”keys to a woman’s heart,” and so on. This corresponds to the concept of the “humanization of things” surrounding a person for life (like glasses, clothing, etc.)
Keys are among “humanized objects,” that relate this painting to another called Forgotten Sunglasses. In Keys a metaphor links the people of a city together as a bundle of keys.
In a more concrete example, the image of a key chain is used for the creation of the cover of a compact disc recorded by a Russian composer. This painting can be compared to Velazquez’s “Surrender of Breda”. This painting shows the symbolic transfer of the city’s keys to the victor, which represents the actual surrender of the city
