In ancient Rome, fixed time meant time devoted to the gods. During these days all forms of human activity connected with civilization and the course of time ceased. This was called the Golden Age. Its attributes were the absence of courts, wars, and labor.
The clock is always in motion, and we turn to the clock to find our place in that movement. But sometimes we want that clock to stop, especially if it is a winning poker game.
The flashback of the moment and the glimpse of the game at the poker table in the reflection in the clock pendulum, symbolizes the forward movement of time and its fleeting quality. The next time the pendulum returns, it will reflect a different picture.
The connection between time and financial value only confirms the concept that time is equal to money, since every passing moment can either bring new opportunities or be lost forever. As they often say: "Time is money".
