The sheep was peacefully grazing when the condor went hunting: he had children at home waiting for food. Circling the sky like an experienced glider pilot, he could easily spot a sheep on the carpet of green – talk about the eagle-sighted fowls of the air! In the blink of an eye, the sheep scaled heights that were the likes of which she had never dreamed. "Oh well, here I am, flying,” she thought, grinning sarcastically as her heart sank. They were rising higher and higher into the mountains. However, even the hunter can be hunted. The sheep saw a flash followed by the sound of a gunshot and the condor’s grip loosened as he started going down. In a matter of seconds, the sheep was in free fall, musing that at least all was over now. She got incredibly lucky and landed in water in a turbulent but deep mountain river. She had some trouble climbing ashore. She picked her way slowly along the slippery rocks until finally making it home at dusk, guided by intuition. Fellow animals were astonished when she appeared: her fleece had turned golden!
