So where does that old belief about the rainbow drinking up the rainwater come from? Here is the story.

There were those in Heaven called the Cloud People. They moved around by holding fast to the clouds. Sometimes the clouds would form into thick clusters, and it would rain. People down below welcomed the rain because it nourished the soil and watered the grass and plants that fed the cows and birds.

But the Cloud People were running out of water during the rain. That was when the sun came to their rescue...
